New Member, Old Kite

Hey all. I'm hoping someone here can answer my question. I have come into the possession of an old airfoil kite. Its kinda small, and nothing fancy. But for the life of me, I just can't figure out how to hook it up to a line. Here's a picture I took to help illustrate my problem...

I'm assuming that the long edge is the leading edge, and the short edge is the trailing edge. The short edge has a line with a swivel connector in the center. The long edge has a line with a knotted loop at the center. Because of the positioning of the leading and trailing lines, I'm pretty sure that this is a single line kite.

If someone has an idea how to connect it to a line, or at least a link to an example, I'd be most appreciative.

TIA

The swivel is there for you to connect the line.

Oh I see, the top and bottom of the harness is not connected. You probably can probably larkshead the bottom loop around the top line just below the swivel so they connect, and might be somewhat adjustable.
This page explains the knot: members.aol.com/goodheavens/lark.html

Wow...i've had a couple of old parafoils but they either had keels or bridles attached to the sides of the kite, not the top and bottom. I assume the two bridles have to connect to each other and then to the line. The leading edge of the kite will be the one with the openings for the pockets. As suggested, the kite may have been set up to be adjustable for differing wind conditions. And the recommended larkshead is very helpful in that regard.

Sorry I can't be of more help. But consider this...the only reason to have a snap swivel on the bridle is to keep line from getting twisted. So the snap must attach to the line directly.
