Berkeley Kite Festival coming up

hey kids,

the berkeley kite festival is coming up
july 30-31 and this guy ...

is performing there. i saw him last year, and he was
phreakin' INCREDIBLE. you really should not miss him if you are
anywhere near the east bay and free that weekend !

    Anybody going?

    Can you just show up with a kite and crash it or is it just demos and exhibitions?

    (Can you tell I'm new to kite flying?)

      You can fly, but most of the area is roped off for demos, competition, and Ray Bethel.

        Didn't make it, in any case. Apartment hunting.... On the other hand, I'm now on Alameda. I saw kites up on the beach not far from South Shore mall the other evening, so I'll have to get down there and give it a go.
